Pukhraj Garh is a family-run heritage retreat nestled in the peaceful village of Salawas, just 21 kilometres from Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
It is more than a place to stay. It is a place where you can experience the warmth of a Rajasthani family, discover traditional village life, taste authentic home-cooked food and connect with the living heritage of rural Rajasthan.

A Weaver | A Visionary | 1982
Our late father, Shri Pukhraj Ji Prajapat, was a traditional weaver deeply connected with the people, culture and landscape of Salawas.
In 1982, he began introducing visitors to surrounding villages, creating an opportunity to experience Rajasthan beyond famous forts and palaces.
His vision was simple — to share the real Rajasthan with guests while respecting the traditions, people and environment of the villages.
Today, we continue that legacy through our heritage house, village experiences and family hospitality.
Pukhraj Garh is the home of a traditional weaver family from Salawas. For generations, our family has been connected with the art of handwoven Rajasthani durries and rugs, a craft that remains an important part of village life.
We work with a cooperative of village weaving families. During your stay, you can discover how traditional rugs are made and meet local artisans who keep this beautiful craft alive.
Pukhraj Garh is a family-run heritage house rather than a conventional hotel. Our family personally looks after the property and our guests. Our home-cooked vegetarian food is prepared using traditional Rajasthani recipes, with many dishes cooked over an open wood fire.
Our property features 9 Suite Cottages and 1 Family Suite, surrounded by gardens, courtyards and peaceful village landscapes. The architecture, traditional décor and family atmosphere create a setting where guests can enjoy the charm of Rajasthan with modern comfort.
